Best brunches in Brooklyn
Karin Agstam, originally from the small town of Stöde in the north of Sweden, is a co-owner of Station, one of Brooklyn’s most popular brunch spots. The restaurant, named after the Station House (Stationshuset) in Stöde – the first restaurant Karin ever went to with her grandfather – is situated next to the subway in über-hip Williamsburg. The combination of an unbeatable location, excellent food, sunny terrace and unlimited booze, has made Station one of the trendiest scenes in the neighborhood.
Station is one of only a few restaurants that serve brunch every day of the week, not just on Saturday and Sunday. And according to Karin, it’s no coincidence that brunch is so hot in Brooklyn.
“Brooklyn has always been home to bohemian, creative people; people who don’t have 9 to 5 jobs, who stay up late, get up late and can go out for a boozy lunch any day of the week. We cater to them, as well as visitors from New York City and all over the world,” she says.
This is Scandinavian Traveler’s guide to the best bottomless brunches in Brooklyn:
